May’s Review
On the 7th May our Snooker team update – Ellis Aked team shield winners were the Rastrick cons E team!!! & huge congratulations go to cons E in their win against gallant runners up Elland wmc D team.
A great night was had by all the players and the many spectators
On May 9th we had a fantastic Cardiac Rehabilitation support event that took place at the club for patients and carers.
In partnership with the British Heart Foundation, attendees learned lifesaving basic life support skills, heard an inspiring patient story and explored mental health support with Andy Man’s Club.
Thank you to our Cardiac Team for creating such a meaningful evening that supports both physical and mental wellbeing.
Sad news this month, we said goodbye the lovely Betty Crowther,
Betty was a well loved regular in the club with her husband Martin and helped run the Tuesday bingo club, she will be Sadly missed
We had a random free event at the club on Friday 15th May, oh my what a night that was, it was a strange but great night with Colin Adamson – Wedding Host, Mind Reader & Hypnotist huge well done to all took part check out the videos on our Facebook page
Well done to our fabulous wine winners tonight. Karen, Mick and Jill. Huge thanks to everyone who bought a ticket tonights monies go to Overgate Hospice
16th May – Wow What an amazing achievement from our slimming world ladies, who have raised an amazing £4,625 for cancer research woop woop! a total of 185 bags donated from the lovely Slimming World members 
On the 24th May we hosted the Well Bowled mixed pairs, Congratulations to winners Becky and Ben. Runners up Simon and Kay. And to semi-finalists Mark and Amy & Pete and Sheridan. Well done all.
28th May Our fabulous ladies bowling team had another fabulous win against Rastrick , So puts them 3rd in their division and they have won a fabulous 4 out of 7 games so far. Huge well done to all ladies involved
What a night at our Robbie tribute, Dyna Mik, dont think we expected that night it was fabulous well done to all all who joined in – Oasis boys and Take That boys and the lovely Angel, everyone had a fab night, check out our Facebook page for the videos
Well done to Beverly, Sally and Mark our amazing wine winners, and huge thank you all who purchased tickets as this goes towards our kids entertainment here at the club, thank you again to both Sally and Mark who re-donated their wines towards the Overgate raffle run on a Saturday.
EWMC Classic 2026 Qualifying rounds were held on the 31st May well done to all, the next round is the 5th June, please come along and show your support ( Finals day 21st June 12pm start)

Please note:
Our ticketed events are open to anyone aged 18 and over — you do not need to be a member to attend. While our acts specialise in tributes, they love to keep the party going, so you may hear a mix of hits and covers to finish the night with a bang.

From Saturday, 21st March, we introduced a £5 minimum spend for card payments.
We’d also like to remind members to make good use of their white membership cards. Visa charges are becoming very expensive, so topping up your card with cash or a Visa payment really helps. Using your card at the bar reduces the number of Visa transactions we have to process and keeps our costs down.
Just Swipe your membership card at the till to pay for drinks and the cost comes straight off your balance. You can still pay cash and give your membership number, or swipe your card as usual. Your name appears on the till so you know you’re using the right card.
Replacement cards are £5. Any questions, just ask a committee member.

Clothing Bank – Supporting Cancer Causes
If you’re having a clear‑out, any unwanted clothing can make a real difference. Our Cancer Support clothes bank is located in the club car park, and every donation helps.
Community Safety – Defibrillator Now Installed
Our life‑saving defibrillator fitted at the bottom of the metal steps opposite the green. It’s there for everyone in our community — you never know when it might be needed.

dont forget your little white membership card holds a secret, it is also a pre payment card so you can add money to it as and when you wish to be spent over the bar, so great idea if you want to save a little bit towards Christmas drinks
