REVIEW FROM LAST MONTH

Membership renewal are due in January, just hand your card over at the bar with your renewal fees and the ladies will do this for you. if you missed this speak to the ladies behind the bar

A massive thank you to all that supports our kids entertainment raffle on the tribute nights our first tribute for January is Dolly Parton tonight

I will be round tonight with the wine raffle in support of our kids entertainment here at the club

all tribute tickets for 2025 are only £5 and are a fab night,

tickets available on the door ( cash only please )

Remember our Tribute nights are ticket only and are open to everyone
you do not need to be a member to attend these events,
over 18’s only

Xmas raffle – a few items had not been collected and today was the last day to collect, these will now be raffled off and proceeds sent to a good cause, again this is not possible without your support so thank you

We have now got a full team for our Darts – so good luck to all

Our Bowling green will open about April time TBC

Sunday 20th April 3-5 pm we have our Easter Party, with our games and competitions

We have lots more competitions and events coming up through 2025, i will upload to the calendar as soon as dates confirmed

We have our own Slimming world consultant Lynn, great offers if your thinking of joining or any questions call Lynn on  07487 683125

We are proud to share the location with the NHS Pennine breast screening truck – any patients will receive a letter thru your GP / Hospital to attend ( this is not organized thru the club )

Stuck for something to do on a Tuesday? do you enjoy bingo and fancy meeting new friends, having a chat, going on trips thru the year and having fun, then we have vacancies for new members to join our Tuesday club, please contact June on 07788868598 ( over 60’s )

REVIEW FROM LAST MONTH

A massive thank you to all that supports our kids entertainment raffle on the tribute nights as there was no tribute act in December, there are no wine winners to announce, but our first tribute for January is Dust Till Dawn ( a local band singing cover tracks )

all tribute tickets for 2025 are only £5 and are a fab night

Remember our Tribute nights are ticket only and are open to everyone
you do not need to be a member to attend these events,
over 18’s only

Our Winter Fair was a fab day with over 17 stalls and Santa’s Grotto was nearly sold out and a huge surprise, the children were talking to Santa about being good his elf’s were working hard by helping Santa give the Children their gifts, we had Anita and Lorraine providing refreshments, hopefully Santa and his Grotto may be a regular event, I will check if he is free for Dec 2025

Tuesday bingo club Christmas party. was held on the 10th and as the best one yet. Three coarse meal. The entertainment was a great entertainer. ANDY TURNER. EVERYONE HAD A GOOD TIME.(The singer Andy Turner having meal with us.)

Friday the 13th was the Working men’s Christmas meal at the Sportsman. Food was fabulous, company was brilliant. Thank you to Steve, Clive and Karen for organizing it all,

Everyone had great time and the children were very well behaved

Our Xmas Raffle was drawn on the 21st December, again lots of great prizes the winning numbers are also in the foyer so check your tickets

Another extremely busy day on our boxing day, family day great party games for the children and a fabulous singer and drummer with Adrenaline 2

Curlys quiz was held last Friday the 27th, always a very popular night, the winners of the night were in 1st place The Woff Lads, 2nd place was The Woff Ladies and 3rd were Peach team & Baxter’s Joint, massive well done to all who participated and of course huge thanks to Karen & Curly for organizing the night

New Years Eve table picnic is back with the fabulous Anita and Lorraine pre-order at the bar only please

A few events coming up in 2025

Halifax & District Darts League, anyone interested in joining a darts team, playing from the Elland WMC, Wednesday Evenings from 7.30pm start, league starts in March 2025, please add your names to the notice in the members lounge or for more information please call M Stone on 07969868664

REVIEW FROM LAST MONTH

June from the bingo club had a fabulous birthday, cakes and buns looked fantastic

What an amazing night with Fourmost, fabulous voices and great interaction with the crowd, Anita was there again showing her wardrobe entertaining – check out the videos on our FB page

Well done to our wine winners from our Fourmost tribute

Mark looking good with his bottle, two Ladies in the middle were celebrating their birthday and won two bottles between them and Ian with his winnings too, so well done to you all

Wow What an amazing afternoon at the Halloween party, all the tickets were gone so was a very busy and hope everyone enjoyed there trick a treat buckets and sweets this year

we had 12 entry’s for the pumpkin competition , so many outstanding designs – check out there rest on the fb page – well done to the winner ( upside down bat )

our colouring competition also attracts a lot of fabulous pictures, massive well done to all entrants and so glad I don’t have be a judge, but well done to all winners and this year we had a small draw with the tickets for the bottle of wine well done to Paul

Massive thanks to Angela’s Face Painting and Events who did some amazing face designs al the kids looked fab ( more pics on the FB page )

What an amazing night Rod was at the end of August nearly everyone was up dancing and doing love train around the floor, Anita was again let loose with the mankini check out the videos on our FB page

On the 11th Sept The Greater Elland Historical Society had Frank Collins as speaker for the evening, Frank is possibly the oldest landlord in the UK and runs the Dog & Partridge at Sowood

Friday 13th September we had Karen’s Bonkers Bingo, another fabulous evening great photos and videos on our fb page and comments for another to be arranged

We had the sad news of Keith Whalley’s Passing this month, Keith’s funeral was held on the 23rd Sept, Keith spent many years on the committee at Elland working men’s club and will be missed by many

on Friday 27th September

Our Tuesday bingo club had their day in Llandudno, everyone had a great time and weather was lovely, Paulene says It was a great day and defo had a laugh on coach coming home 😁

On the 5th July – No more bottles as Heineken zero is now on pump and curly said its very good,

At the end of may we had the great Dolly Parton what another fabulous night

the dance floor was full, the bar staff were let loose again and dolly found her kenny ( Jason ) to sing with – check out Fb for the videos

REVIEW FROM LAST MONTH

Wow What an absolute Bonkers night this was on the 10th May, thank you to everyone who posted the posted photos, everybody had a fabulous night and request to have another ( Watch This space )

On Sunday 12th May we held the Junior County game Yorkshire v Shropshire

well done to the winners Yorkshire

On 15th May our Tuesday club had a fabulous day out at Bury Market, followed by a buffet at the club, everyone had lots of fun

On Friday 17th may we had an interesting Psychic evening Hosted by Psychic nights UK

On the 19th May our Heineken Classic games began

with the last qualifying rounds on the 7th June

and the Finals 9th June

We have Soul Station ( 3pce Soul / Motown experience)- on Friday 31st May ( £10 per ticket )

Our Kids Easter party was another amazing afternoon with some very talented young kids, massive well done to all our winners, Tyler, Roni, Millie, Willow and Gus, and of course the Easter Bunny arrived with the chocolate eggs

A few comments from the party

My Great Granddaughter really enjoyed herself —–Good community gathering, much needed—- Fantastic, just perfect for the kids —-that easter bunny is well fit —-Amazing prizes – and some very talented children of Elland x Thank you x —-Fab time had by all and our Roni was very happy with her prize for winning colouring competition. —-Another fab party , well done everyone xx —-proud of u Ella Stockings (for the face painting )

Elland Tuesday club had their 20th anniversary Party on the 16th April, We had a lovely Buffett, 4 Ladies Betty Crowther, Dorothy Broomhead, Pat Bates and Margary Hinks whom all had attended  for the last 20 years  and received lovely flowers / chocolate and envelope containing money, All members received chocolates and a money envelope, everyone had really enjoyed the afternoon with bingo, Raffles and of course the Buffett .

Olly Murs Tribute – is on Friday 26th April

WOW what and amazing voice and a great night

nearly all the room was up dancing and hopefully the Mankini found its way back

A few comments from the night, Fabulous evening, he put on a good show, –Olly murs was a good night tonight enjoyed it, –Yes we love wcm does not matter what age older younger it’s for everyone best club for us Olly muirs was brilliant night

A massive thank you to all who purchased a raffle ticket we decided to draw all 4 bottles, so a huge well done to all wine winners and all proceeds goes towards our kids entertainment we hold here at the club

Tom Jones Tribute – was on Friday 22nd March

WOW what and amazing voice and a great night Adam Parker as Tom, nearly all the room was up dancing and hopefully the knickers found their rightful owners by the end of the night
